Metal fibers reinforced concrete

LFHCM-3401

It is a concrete that contains in its composition disperse metal /steel fibers of high performance that have been dosed in the concrete plant, thus it is delivered as a ready mixed concrete to the job site. This concrete has an homogenous mix, a guaranteed dosage of fibers, optimally distributed in the mass of the concrete. The metal fibers reinforced concrete can efficiently replace the steel mesh reinforcement or other traditional reinforcement methods, based on previous calculations (GP-075-02, Guide for establishing performance criteria and composition for Metal fibers reinforced concrete). Several types of fibers can be used for the production of this type of concrete, as per the project’ specifications. By using metal fibers reinforced concrete the element will be reinforced evenly, both in the mass and near the surfaces, marginal sides including. The direct result will be a more robust element, with higher tear and wear resistance compared to the traditional reinforcement. The concretes reinforced with metal fibers have an increased ductility and a very good impact, abrasion and fatigue resistance.
