StoneHemp®
SHEMP-0001
StoneHemp® is a bio-composite material, a mixture of hemp
hurds and lime, used as a material for construction and
insulation. It is a breathing, permeable to water vapors and
hygroscopic material that regulates humidity in the atmosphere
by absorbing and releasing it when the degree of humidity
falls below the optimum level of 40-60%. It is fire-resistant and
naturally resistant to parasites and mold, creating a healthy
living environment. It has negative carbon emissions and it is
100% natural, sustainable and biodegradable, continuously
absorbing CO2, resulting in the transformation of lime into
limestone over time. Approx.165kg of carbon can be
stored in each m3 of masonry, having very low impact on
the environment. Ideal for homes, commercial and industrial
spaces, can be used in exterior and interior walls, insulation of
new floors and roofs or in renovation.
