Designer Piero Lissoni has created an elegant take on ancient Japanese matting, reinterpreting it in a selection of stones which echo the natural tones of the rush and cotton traditionally used. Stone Tatami can be laid in a staggered formation using only the Tatami tiles, but for those wanting to replicate the original pattern, it can be laid either with a honed border in a contrasting or complementary colour to create the traditional pattern.This is entirely down to personal choice, depending on the final effect desired. Bianco Carrara is a strong material which can withstand significant loads, making it an extremely versatile choice for both internal and external environments as well as high traffic areas.
